Arnold Palmer Pavilion

erez2.jpgAs chairman of the Latrobe Area Hospital (LAH) Charitable Foundation, Arnold Palmer always dreamt about building a cancer center right in his hometown. Without it, access to the latest cancer therapies and treatments meant that residents had to make the long drive into Pittsburgh.

In July 2002, when University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and LAH announced the new UPMC Cancer Center in Latrobe would bear his name, Arnold's hope had become a reality. Dubbed the Arnold Palmer Pavilion, the cancer center is housed in a 30,000 square-foot addition to the LAH's Mountain View Medical Park facility. The cancer pavilion features outpatient oncology and diagnostic testing, and is committed to the prevention, detection, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
